A Week At Belisamas Lake

[Currently In Development - Prototyping Stage]

By Team Gramps, born during Code Coven and Facebook Gaming's Game Developer Program.

In a somewhat near, green future, retired ecologist Pearl and her quarrelsome teenage grandchild Lotus set out to clean their local lake. Along the way, they uncover both family memories and artifacts that shine a light on humanity’s battle with climate change.

Summary

What will the children of the future say about the mistakes of our past?

That is a question that Pearl, a retired ecologist, must ponder when her rebellious grandchild, Lotus, is entrusted in her care for the summer.  Lotus was born after the Climate Crisis that ravaged Earth in the 21st century had finally been overcome - whereas Pearl has lived through its worst, and saw the world change for the better.

Together, they endeavor to clean their local habitat, Belisamas Lake, of trash left over from the Plastic Age in this arcade fishing game featuring gyro controls, cute marine wildlife and gorgeous vector illustrations.

The items Lotus and Pearl find in the lake will reveal vignettes from the hard-won global struggle of climate restoration, as well as deeply personal stories of a family torn apart and put back together.

A Week at Belisamas Lake is designed for adolescent to adult audiences, especially first-time and casual players.
